Tranquillo Tours, together with Club Med, will introduce you to the Italy Simone Agostino and Daniele Foti-Cuzzola know and love. From exploring idyllic coastal locations, to their favourite wineries, family-owned trattorias, bustling food markets and vibrant nightlife spots. Your journey commences at the luxurious Palazzo Velabro situated in Rome’s historic Monti district before embarking on a Club Med cruise off the Italian coast. After exploring some of Italy’s many coastal treasures, you will get to fully immerse yourself in la dolce vita and the Sicilian way of life at Club Med’s Cefalù resort; where you will also venture off the beaten track to discover some of the many historical, gastronomical and cultural gems Italy has to offer all at a tranquillo pace.

Benvenuti to la citta Eterna! After arriving in Rome and checking into our luxurious accommodation at Palazzo Velabro which is situated in an 18th-century mansion; we invite you to join us for an evening aperitivo on the hotel’s rooftop terrace. Enjoy traditional Italian refreshments while taking in the picturesque panoramas of the Monti district, one of the most ancient parts of the city; while we say “Ciao” and get to know one another and discuss the upcoming adventures we have planned.

ROME
5 July, Friday
Buongiorno! Seize the day and explore the sights and sounds of Bella Roma. Being based in Rome’s historical Monti District means you have some of Rome’s most iconic monuments including the Colosseum and Roman Forum practically at your doorstep. A day free for exploring will have you working up an appetite and we will then journey off the beaten track to one of the outer neighbourhoods of Rome to a traditional Roman trattoria; where we will indulge in some of Rome’s greatest culinary delights.

ROME / CIVITAVECCHIA
6 July, Saturday
Before we say arrivederci to Roma; join us on a walking tour where we will spend our mornings like the Romans do. We’ll start the day visiting one of Rome’s historical bakeries for traditional breakfast treats, followed by a morning caffé in the picturesque Piazza Navona and then we’ll experience the hustle and bustle of a Saturday morning market in the city’s renowned Campo de Fiori. It’s then time to say “Ciao” to Rome as we embark on our Club Med voyage and set sail through the Tyrrhenian Sea.

SANTA MANZA, CORSICA

Today we briefly step outside of Italy and into French territory as our yacht docks into Corsica; a French Mediterranean island that retains a distinct Italian culture. Fully embrace a ‘tranquillo’ state of mind as we take the free time to immerse ourselves in the cobblestone streets and turquoise waters off the island’s jaw-dropping coastline; all before we set sail back into the Tyrrhenian sea.

PONZA

The island of Ponza has been a popular holiday destination since Ancient Roman times; where Emperors and Nobilities would set sail to the picturesque island for some rest and recreation, and upon arriving you’ll evidently see why this has remained a top travel destination for centuries. Be swept up by the beauty of the crystal blue waters; magnificent views and vibrant streets. After exploring Ponza at your own leisurely pace, we will then meet for an afternoon aperitivo at one of the island’s popular beachside bars before setting sail to our next destination.

NAPLES

Join us on a culinary adventure through Naples as we set off by foot on a food tour that will guarantee to tantalise all of your senses. We’ll guide you through the historic city’s cobblestone streets and vibrant markets as we visit some of Naple’s most iconic pasticcerias, bars and street food vendors and delve into the history of some of their most famous delights. After our morning tour, take the time to explore this eclectic city at a leisurely pace before we continue our Club Med voyage.

SORRENTO

At Tranquillo we say, when "life gives you lemons...sip limoncello!" And Sorrento is the place. Known for its produce of the finest lemons, Sorrento is where you will want to find a quaint local bar to taste Italy’s finest limoncello or indulge in delizioso lemon granita - a perfetto way to reset after a busy few days of sight seeing.
Explore the many boutiques, sample some of the town's gastronomical delights and experience the true essence of la dolce vita in one of Italy's most relaxing and beautiful towns.

AMALFI

Amalfi is a small town in the province of Salerno, situated on Italy’s Southeast coastline. Spend your morning exploring the many treasures Amalfi has to offer before joining Simone and Daniele at a traditional Amalfitano beachside restaurant where together we will experience regional cuisine at its absolute finest whilst basking in the beauty of the stunning Amalfi coastline.

LIPARI

Lipari is the largest of the Aeolian Islands, a volcanic archipelago off the coast of Sicily. It is the perfect place to spend the day pottering the bustling picturesque streets, enjoying a leisurely lunch and perhaps also an afternoon drink by the harbour. Slow down the pace today, soaking in all the island’s natural beauty and wonderful scenic offerings for the final day of the cruise.

PALERMO / CEFALU, CLUB MED RESORT

Today our cruise comes to an end as we arrive in la bella Sicilia. Upon arriving in Palermo, we will disembark our lavish yacht and make our way towards the luxurious Club Med Resort in Cefalù. Spend the day unwinding and getting familiar with the resorts many world-class amenities including a beachside pool, restaurants, bars and wellness facilities before then exploring what this gorgeous city has to offer.

It's always a buongiorno when waking up in Club Med Cefalú. Spend the morning exploring or relaxing at our your own pace before joining Simone and Daniele for an afternon Siclian Cannoli class. With an aperol spritz in hand, it’s time to get together in the resort’s outdoor kitchen as we teach you how to make the famous Sicilian cannoli from scratch. There’s nothing more satisfying than biting into its flaky fried pastry that’s filled with sweetened local ricotta. You’ll soon understand why this decadent dessert has become a staple of Sicilian cuisine.

After a day of relaxing at Club Med and taking in the beautiful amenities the resort has to offer; we will then embark on a “passeggiata” through Sicily’s historic capital, Palermo. You will be immersed in the flavours and aromas of this truly melting pot of a city as we take you to some of our favourite nightlife spots, historical sites and foodie destinations.

Immerse yourself in the beauty of Sicily’s picturesque eastern countryside of Catania, discovering its beauty shaped by nature, as we embark on a two hour journey to an established winery located at the foot of Mount Etna. Allow the winemakers to take us on a journey of flavours, immersing us into the Etna’s traditions through the tasting of five wines while enjoying a substantial lunch fare of authentic Sicilian food.
Finally, experience a scenic 4WD trip to the volcano at sunset to embrace all Mt Etna’s beauty.
